About Information Collection
Clip Hold does not collect or send any information of users.
While usage data and crash reports may be shared if users have enabled “Share with app developers” under “Analytics & Improvements” in the System Settings' “Privacy & Security” section, the app itself is entirely devoid of any functionality to collect or send user-related information. Even if you are concerned about privacy, you can use it with confidence.
Information Clip Hold Retrieves
There is information that is retrieved in order for the Clip Hold features to work properly. The following information is retrieved
- Clipboard contents
- Used to save the clipboard history.
- Copied time
- Used to store and display the copied time.
- Keyboard Input
- Used to recognize global shortcuts.
- Running app name/information
- Used to add to “Apps to Exclude” from running apps.
- Copy source app name/information
- Used to detect if an app is registered in the “Apps to Exclude” list.
- System information / app version information
- Used for automatic detection of the feedback template language and for the function to pre-fill in the information required by me when the “Send Feedback” button in the app is clicked. The following information is collected for this feature
- Language of the app (Japanese or other)
- Model ID (e.g. Mac16,11)
- CPU architecture (e.g. Apple Silicon (arm64))
- macOS version information (e.g., Version 15.5 (build 24F74))
- App version information (e.g. Version 1.0.0 (build 202507031827))
This information will stay only in the app and will not be sent to outside.
