Standard Phrases and Copy History

Standard phrases and copy history can be accessed from the Clip Hold icon on the menu bar.
Clicking on each item will copy its contents to the clipboard.

Standard phrases and copy history can also be copied by using shortcut keys.
For standard phrases, the default is ^ (Control) + ⌘ (Command) + 1-0 numeric keys, and for copy history, the default is ⌥ (Option) + ⌘ (Command) + 1-0 numeric keys.
Shortcut keys can be changed from the “Shortcuts” tab in Clip Hold settings.

Alert for copying a large file

Alert

Note
Requires Clip Hold 1.2.0 or later.

You may see an alert like this when you copy a large file. In Clip Hold's settings, you can set the size to show an alert, and this alert will show up when you copy a file that is larger than the set size.

Clip Hold also saves the history of files and images, but copying a number of large files may cause storage to be overwhelmed. Therefore, this feature is useful when you do not want to save large files in the history.

Tip
By default, an alert is shown when copying files over 1 GB, but you can change this to your preferred size from Clip Hold's settings, or disable showing the alert at all.

Quick Paste

Quick Paste

If the “Quick Paste” feature is enabled in the settings, the ⌘ (Command) + V key action will be sent and pasted into the foreground app at the same time the selected content is copied.
Accessibility permission is required to use this feature. When you try to use this feature for the first time, a prompt will appear asking for accessibility permission, and you will need to grant it to be able to use Quick Paste (if it is not displayed or denied, you will need to add it in the System Settings).

About accessibility permissions

You can check to see if Clip Hold has accessibility permissions currently granted by going to the “Permissions” section under the “Privacy” tab in the Clip Hold settings.
If it says “Granted”, then you have the appropriate permissions and can use it by enabling Quick Paste.
If it says “Open Settings”, you do not have the permissions yet and will need to open the System Settings to do so. Click “Open Settings” to open the accessibility permission settings in the System Settings, add Clip Hold, and turn it on.

Note
If you already have Clip Hold in your accessibility permissions and it is turned on but not “Granted” in the Clip Hold settings, you will need to remove it from the list of accessibility permissions in your System Settings and then add it back in and turn it on again.

This may happen if you update the app or move the app to a different folder.
